Good News Abounds for UT Baseball
Suspended UT pitchers Justin Simmons and J. Brent Cox were reinstated today for the upcoming NCAA Regional Tournament. That serves as great news for the Horns, whose key asset is their pitching depth.
Yesterday, Texas had seven players named to the All-Big XII First- or Second-Team. 15 players in all were All-Big XII selections. Individual Big XII award winners included: J.P. Howell, Pitcher of the Year; Drew Stubbs, Freshman Player of the Year; and Augie Garrido, Coach of the Year.
Texas opens NCAA tournament play against Youngstown State on Friday.
